21 Day Fix
21 Day Fix, for me, is like your first love that will always have a place for in your heart.
What is it?
The 21 Day Fix is a complete nutrition & fitness program. It's a program that incorportates all food groups with an easy to follow portion control system (colour coded containers for various food groups). It comes with a complete set of 30 minute at home DVD workouts (everyone has 30 minutes to spare). The program is based on creating healthy habits in 21 days. Why is it so effective?
Simplicity! Transforming yourself to a healthier version can be difficult - of course, we all want to eat cake every day but the reality is that we are all grown ups and realize that our health is important if we want to stay alive for any amount of time. There is no need to count calories, points, or log your food intake because it's all done using the colour coded container system.
What makes 21 day fix unique?
It combines portion control with clean eating and a daily 30 minute workout regime (including an active yoga recovery day).
How does it work?
The program focuses on lifestyle changes. With the 21 day fix container system you will learn a health portion size for various food groups. It teaches you how to eat the foods you love in a proper portion size (including wine, chocolate, pancakes/waffles and chips/popcorn) while having the flexibility to create your own meals. The workouts are designed to burn A LOT of calories in 30 minutes with any fitness level (beginner to advanced) being able to do them because modifications and higher intensity levels are offered in the program.
Meet the trainer!
Autumn Calabrese. I love the 21 day fix program but I think many reasons why I love the program is because I love Autumn training me through the program. Autumn is a celebrity fitness trainer, a mom and a national-level bikini competitor. She is a strong believer that anyone can transform their bodies if they put in the work. She designed the program because she realized people were over eating and sometimes not even realizing it because they thought they could eat as much 'healthy' foods as they pleased (1,000 calories meal is still a 1,000 calories meal). I 100% relate to this because when I started my clean eating journey I actually gained weight! YIKES! It's a wonder I still follow the clean eating guidelines.

21 days of loosly following the program. I had originally tried the program because I thought it would be helpful for my mom. I wanted to encourage her so I decided I would do the 21 days with her as support, motivation and encouragement (at the time, I didn't know anything about being a coach!). Little did I know that I would see results and decide to commit to the program for the next 5 months. BTW she also continued on with this program and her journey.
Before starting the program, I really thought I wouldn't see results because I was going to the gym and thought I had everything figured out (boy was I wrong). BTW I never thought these pictures would ever see the light of day. I only took them because I was told to do so. As you can tell, I wasn't overly thrilled that I had to take these pictures but was really happy with the results after just 21 days! :)
