These ladies are more than just Beachbody mentors (coaches) and they are more than just their day job. All of us have been affected positively with mentoring and helping others. The mentoring experience and personal growth affects our every day lives for the better (which I didn't realize would happen when I first signed up). From personal development to business development - finding out who we are and our strengths and weaknesses we stand behind one another and build each other up. We all have different backgrounds but similar interests and without this mentoring opportunity our paths would have never crossed. We all have been united because of this opportunity. These ladies have went from being complete strangers to me to people I care deeply about. They are my Beachbody family.

My mentoring experience can be summed up with this: shy and insecure to social and confident girl showing others the opportunity to change their lives while working on her own health & fitness journey! I believe we are all capable of making an impact in this world and I've always had the drive and determination to do just that. Since I was little, I wanted to find a cure for a disease but now I am able to help people prevent future diseases instead. Why can't the answer could be prevention?

 

Before I was a Beachbody mentor, I saw other Beachbody mentors and thought 'if they are doing it, why not me?' I saw people sharing their healthy lifestyle which was the same as my lifestyle and being able to help others (plus they were being paid to do it). I was always asking people to join me in getting healthy & fit but never knew how to help them. BUT now I could help them through a company I love that sells programs that I know work. I love the YMCA and recommend it all the time but I also love Beachbody products so of course I recommend their programs all the time as well. To me, Beachbody has the edge over the YMCA (or other gyms) because of the nutrition plans that are bundled with the workouts along with the online support and motivation from your team and mentor (seriously, THE BEST).

Once I made the decision that I wanted to be a Beachbody mentor I went searching for a team that fit who I am and what I believe in. I didn't want to be part of a team that believed in quick fixes or treatinig customer like a sale. I wanted to bed part of a team that believed in healthy living and balance/moderation with the foods we eat. I wanted to be part of a team who actually cared to help other people. I also wanted to be part of a team that would help me and accept me into their world. I didn't want someone to just sell me something and leave me alone to run a business that I had no idea how to run. I wanted a #fitfam filled with #girlbosses who dreamed so big that it was scary. I am happy I found the perfect fit.

You don't have to be at your goal weight or in perfect condition to be a mentor. I wasn't when I started and I am still working on myself. In my opinion, I believe it's actually better if you aren't at your 'perfect' figure for 2 main reasons. People will relate to you more when they are able to see what you are doing and your results you obtain (being a product of the products) plus it keeps you super accountable to reach your own personal goals. As much as we admire people who have great bodies it's a lot harder for the average person to relate to those people. Some people choose to start a program and sign up as a mentor immediately to ensure they stay accountable (plus the bonus of receiving 25% off Beachbody products).

Being part of True North Strong & Fit I will ALWAYS be there for you (I'm just a message or phone call away). You will become part of our tight knit Beachbody family that is all over Canada and USA. And don't worry about not knowing me personally because I didn't know anyone when I first started mentoring (I promise we are all very welcoming). You will be given support and training (yes, training on a regular basis which is one thing I love about our team. I'm always receiving training and staying up to date). Once enrolled as a mentor you have the option (and I will highly recommend it) to complete training academy to teach you the ins and outs of Beachbody (I was trained this way and in my opinion it's an absolute must). All training is free and is all online. We also have a once a week 1/2 hour group call that provides extra support (duplicating success) and motivation that is needed to grow your business (which I also would highly recommend). All of the weekly and training calls are recorded so you can actually listen to them at your own convenience! If you choose to mentor and then realize it's not for you then you can cancel at anytime without any penalties. Be warned that Beachbody mentoring isn't a 'get rich quick' scheme. It truly is about helping others achieve a healthier life (and getting paid to do so) or giving someone the opportunity for an extra income. You need to love it and the products because it takes work and dedication. Our motto is 'be here in a year!' after you sign up as a mentor in order to give yourself the best possible chance at this business. I promise if you put in the work you will be AMAZED at what you can accomplish. It's not your typical sales person job instead it's sharing your journey and helping others get the results that they want (it's all about the customer and not a sale).
