Ditch The Diet Cycle

If you have been on a diet in the past you might know recognize the diet cycle. Initially you are so excited to start your transformation. You know what workouts you will be doing and you're excited about your new eating plan. You do what you are suppose to do every single day but then you start to get tired and you start to get cravings. You've cut out calories and that also means you have cut out nutrients and haven't replaced those nutrients. Many people are not protein deficient but instead nutrient deficient. Once you cut those nutrients your body starts craving. You become tired and grouchy and eventually give in and binge. You feel guilty about not being able to stick to a plan and are unsure why you cannot stick to a plan. You think that it's just not for you and that you are not strong enough. You see others doing it and think it's because they have something special about them that you don't have. Oh, that's a good excuse. But you don't know any better. You don't realize that you are nutrient deficient and that's what is causing all the problems. In order to get all our nutrients from whole foods the average person would have to eat close to 30,000 calories a day (an insane amount of calories in a day). Many whole food diets are still nutrient deficient. I know when I was starting to just eat whole foods I was still tired and didn't have any energy. Because of this it is recommended to have a supplementation to provide your body with all the nutrients it needs (it's true - check it out here).

Shakeology is that nutrient dense drink that help many people, myself included. There are whole foods in it providing our bodies with the nutrients it wants and deserves (in the proper ratios - yay science!). Shakeology isn't just some "protein shake" - don't worry, I also initially thought it was just another protein shake on the market too. Yes, it has protein in it but protein is just one essential part that our bodies require. It also has whole foods in it from natural sources. You can read more about that here.

If the diet cycle sounds familiar to you Shakeology might be exactly what you are looking for and need. I resisted wanting to even try Shakeology in the beginning. I didn't drink it for months because I though it was a "rip off". I also was ignorant and didn't know anything about it. I just made assumptions. I told myself I would try it for just 1 month. I was interested in trying it because I had started researching it and reading what others thought about it. After that 1 month, I saw improvement in myself. I had more energy and I wasn't craving sweets as much (not nearly as much - THIS was HUGE for me). I decided to get it for another month and haven't looked back.

I luckily enjoyed the taste of Shakeology from the start. I actually think it tastes delicious. But there are so many recipes and some of them don't taste that great (gag)! Some people make it, taste it and don't like it at first but continue to drink it using different recipes and end up loving it (our taste buds adapt believe it or not). And then some people try it once and refuse to try it again. Ideally, you should try it more than once - just like anything in life. Like I said, some recipes are terrible so you have to find something that suits your taste buds.

Having said all this, if you are a tea lover you might enjoy adding iced tea to Shakeology. I know I did! It took my Shakeology experience to a whole new level and will definitely be something I will try again. The possibilities are endless.
