Chocolate Protein Ice Cream



Chocolate Protein Ice Cream

Ingredients 12 oz of ice cubes (by volume not weight)

12 oz unsweetened almond milk (by volume not weight)

1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I used Beachbody Chocolate Recover. This recipe also works with Chocolate Beyond Isolate. Any chocolate protein powder should work but make sure you like the taste of it. Additionally, this recipe also works with Chocolate Shakeology)

1/2 - 1 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp - 1 Tbsp sweetener of choice (if desired - I use stevia.) 1/2 tsp xanthan gum


Directions

Add all ingredients to blender and blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth. A high power blender that can crush ice is required. I use the Ninja single serve cups. If needed, add a splash (or two) extra of almond milk to get the mixture started. Enjoy! Special thanks to Heather McCracken for sharing this recipe with me.
