6 Weeks Out From Atlantic Classics
EEEEK! I FINALLY decided to give Lush a try...I know, I know - I'm a huge bath freak yet I've never tried any Lush bath bombs. Who am I? But the past is the past and I am now a lover of Lush bath bombs. First I ordered like $70 of bath products...not bad for someone who has never tried anything from the company before. I figured I wanted to try multiple things rather than forming an opinion on just 1 product (why are we so quick to jump to conclusions? I actually like to try various products from a company before I make an opinion on them. It's only fair). I expect the next few weeks to be harder so to help I figure I will be soaking in the tub a lot.
Alright so, the let's get into the 'meat and potatoes' of this blog (did someone say potatoes? HAHA). My food and workouts were the same as the last few weeks. I was allowed an extra 250 calories last Saturday so I made Chocolate Peanut Butter Shakeology pudding (BTW AMAZING) with a side of cherries. You can find the recipe for the pudding here. The workouts had some increased sets for certain exercises but nothing too serious. The biggest change was an additional 5 minutes of cardio added in to each cardio session which honestly I hardly even noticed. My body quickly adapts to workouts so it's good to continually switch things up for me plus it keeps me from getting bored.
The biggest excitement for me this week was going to see Beauty & The Beast. If you haven't seen it yet - GO SEE IT! I have to say that I actually enjoyed the play I saw a few weeks ago more than the movie BUT the movie was still good.
Something that I promised myself I would do until competition was 20 minutes of posing each day (from 6 weeks out). Honestly, this is the thing that I dread the most - it's not a very enjoyable process for me BUT I am already starting to see improvements from practicing daily so it keeps me motivated to continue. The only way to get better at something is to consistently do it. Check out how much a difference posing makes compared to me being relaxed. Crazy, right?
OOO and I finally got my NBPFA card which is the card that I need to compete! I'm officially a member of NBPFA. :)
I get a new program this week so I'm pretty excited about that (and a bit nervous). Since my program changes this weekend my progress update actually took place on the Friday instead of the Saturday. As usual, my progress pictures are below. My weight this week was 118.3 lbs to make a total of 9 lbs lost since I started (starting weight: 127.3 lbs). I really am proud of myself. I couldn't ask more of myself. This journey so far has been incredible for me. This Saturday I am officially 5 weeks out from stepping on stage. Back to the grind I go.
