4 Weeks Out From Atlantic Classics
It's April and the countdown is ON! 3 weeks from today I will be on that stage. I'm really focusing on turning my nerves to excitement...so far, it seems to be working. But first, a little review from last week.
What can I say? It was another great week. When I first started this journey I thought for sure that by this time I would be suffering. That I would be miserable. And that I would want to give up. It was these thoughts and fears that I had made up in my own mind that I really had to overcome and I am super happy I just decided to go for it because it turns out all of those thoughts are not a reality...not even close.
My workouts were the same as last week. The 50 minutes of cardio is the worst part out of it all - 50 minutes of steady state cardio BUT it has to be done and I get it done. :) I found the weight lifting part a bit better this week. I think it's because last week it was completely new to me so this week I knew what was coming. It's different which is good because my body gets use to things really quickly!
Food was also the same as last week so there's nothing new to report there. I was allowed another 250 calorie treat. I had cottage cheese mixed with protein powder and blueberries which I was hoping would be amazing but it turned out I wasn't much of a fan at all! Maybe you would be though. It was the first and last time I will make it. I also has some extra calories left over for popcorn and one of my absolute favourite snacks, apples + cheese. OHHHH and I discovered this carbonated water that isn't sweetened - the only ingredients are carbonated water and natural flavouring. It's mango, peach, pineapple natural flavouring and it's AMAZING. I've been having one with supper every night - it's a nice way to get water into me without just drinking plain old water. I heard the raspberry lime is amazing too. I'll be picking it up to try it out as well.
I went for more posing lessons this week to refine what I have been practicing on. I'm soooo happy I ended up going for another lesson. It really helped me out and I'm feeling a lot more confident with each day that passes. Out of all of this posing has been my biggest obstacle. I'm just not very feminine to begin with so I've had to practice those soft, gentle, flowing movements. It's really hard for a tom boy like myself. Give me the gym any day over posing!
There was actually ball hockey this week - THANK GOODNESS. I ended up going 3 nights but 2 of those nights only consisted of 1 hr long games. It as still a ton of fun though. I bought tickets to a bath bomb gift basket to support NB Ball Hockey and I ended up winning the basket. It will be perfect for these next couple of weeks. One thing that helps me mentally is taking baths - it's been a big help for me overcoming my binge eating.
My progress pictures are below. My weigh in this week was 116.2 lbs for a total of 11.1 lbs lost (start weight: 127.3 lbs) which is less than 1 lb per week - nothing crazy here! :) I have 3 more weeks to crush this prep...my nerves have turned into excitement (for now anyway).
