Super Saturday August 6, 2016
Super Saturdays are the next best thing to Summit for the Beachbody world. I have been able to participate in every Super Saturday since I started coaching. They are always so inspirational and motivational and reminds us that we change lives - we don't just help people lose weight. Super Saturdays are open to anyone - coaches, friends or people who are just interested and would like to know more. Success stories are shared which brings a lot of tears in the audience's eyes as well as training (personal and business) takes place. August 6, 2016 Super Saturday was in Antigonish, NS which is anywhere between 4.5 - 5 hours away from where I live but I made the trip and it was worth it (as I suspected it would be). Jeff is quite the trooper - he did all the driving. <3
I must say that at past Super Saturdays I was never really affected by the success stories shared. I thought they were incredible but never did I ever feel drawn towards the story. This Super Saturday was different and I am going to share it with you in this blog post.
A woman was madly in love with her husband and they had a baby girl together. They were getting ready to move into their new house to start a new adventure of their lives together when she received the call that he had died in a car accident. Tragic but this was actually not the part of her story that I was drawn towards. Don't get me wrong if something like that would happen in my life I would be devastated and it does bring tears to my eyes. What drew me to her story was how she felt and what she did afterwards. She had to move back in with her mom and she didn't think she was strong enough to move forward. She hardly had enough money to live but she made it work as best as she could. One of her friends presented her with Beachbody and she was hesitant for months until she finally decided that she needed to look after herself. What comes next is when I started to tear up. After her workout one day she saw an add for Summit. Summit is a huge Beachbody event that takes place once a year (you can read more about it here). She said she looked at the video footage and realized that was the community and people she NEEDED in her life. She wanted that life and needed that life to gain strength to move forward. She contacted her coach and asked how she could be part of the experience and she never looked back!
WOW! Life changing experience. If I had to tell you what I love most about what I do with my part time job as a coach I would have to say it's the community and how much I have grown as an individual. What does that mean for you? It means that I am able to help you more than I ever thought I possibly could and I just keep getting better and better at doing my job which is EXACTLY why I am a coach. For everyone that has been with me since day 1 I cannot thank you enough for believing that I could help you. And for everyone who has joined me and stuck with me because I've been able to help you I couldn't have done it without the support and love from the fantastic community & my team. The only people I have ever seen unsuccessful with using the programs are the people who don't actually do them or just quit. People who do the programs and push through even when times get tough have gotten the results they have wanted and then some. People often think this business is all about weight loss and just some products that if you stop using them you will gain your weight back. News flash - NOT TRUE! You will gain weight if you stop working out and eat every damn cup cake in sight. This company and more specifically myself help people re-wire their way of thinking for long term success. I show you how to live a healthy lifestyle. I show you why these at home workouts will get you better results than if you just go to the gym (most people don't have a plan when they go to the gym and they end up struggling. I struggled when I was a gym rat because I didn't have a set plan/program.) and I show you why taking Shakeology will help give your body the nutrients it is craving. Most importantly, in my opinion, I show up every single freakin' day for my customers. Yes, that means it keeps me accountable too! I do whatever I possible can to make sure my customers are taking the steps in the right direction for a healthy lifestyle change. Super Saturday reminded me that I started this business to help others but I have grown so much as an individual because I've surrounded myself with positive, goal crushin', badass, boss ladies! I didn't know that was missing in my life until I chose to be a coach. As inspiring as that story was I was equally inspired by a top coach, Morgan. She presented an amazing presentation that focused on the community as well. She inspired me so much because she works full time and has made Beachbody her own successful business with just an hour or two a day (yup! That's all it takes).
After all the presentations and inspiration success weight loss stories it was time to get our Country Heat sweat on. What's more fun than doing Country Heat? Doing Country Heat with 50 - 100 people!
Even though this event just finished I must say I am already pretty excited for the next one taking place October 29th. If anyone would like to join me you are always more than welcome to do so. There is no commitment. It's just a fun event that's based on health & fitness.
