Change Your Thoughts And You Change Your World
Something happened last week that brought a smile to my face.
Some of my clients were struggling in their journey. Now, before you think that I am a big jerk I need to explain to you why it brought a smile to my face.
These ladies (3 to be exact) have been working to reach their goals and have been doing a fabulous job too but self doubt started to creep in (which is expected). They started needing the extra help and support to keep going (which is EXACTLY my job!). I related to these ladies so much and knew exactly how to personally re-motivate each one of them.
In the past, I would start to try and live a healthier lifestyle for myself only to quit just a few short weeks in. I cannot tell you how many times I started and then quit because I just lost the motivation. I had the "who cares attitude" and "what's the point. I will just try again later". I quit so many times because I just didn't think I was strong enough and it wasn't a priority because I didn't have any urging medical issues. I thought "oh, I'm young I don't have to worry about my health now. I will worry about that later in life". My mind has definitely changed about that one. I still don't have any medical issues but I definitely am on the path to try and prevent any.
I smiled when these ladies reached out to me because I was able to re-motivate and re-focus all 3 of the ladies to continue. I was their rock in their time of need. I was the one who built them back up and gave them the encouragement to keep going. I was the one who reminded them why they started in the first place.
I wish I would have known someone who would have been able to do that for me. I needed that person in the past. This journey is hard and I will not sugar coat it for anyone but I will always be the person to help others through those moments of self doubt. Your mind is your biggest hurdle. It can be filled with negativity, doubt, fear, trust issues, etc. and that's why it's important to change the way you think. We start hearing the word "no" from a very young age (and many of those "no's" are for safety reasons) but that's when the negativity and thinking that we cannot accomplish things begins.
I will never promise a quick fix (because quick fixes are not the healthy way to start living a healthy lifestyle) but I can promise we can reach our goals together if we both try.
