A Lot Can Happen In A Year...

Excuses are useless. Results are priceless.

A lot can happen in a year. What you do every single day will lead you to where you are at the end of a year. This last year, I took my training from the gym to at home workouts. I didn't believe I could get results at home...for whatever reason but guess what? You can..and I did. I was convinced that in order to lose weight you had to get a gym membership (and use it). So many times those gym memberships never get used (I know because I use to volunteer and one question I would ask was how people were enjoy their gym membership) - life gets busy (believe me, I get it!) but I've realized that there are minimal excuses to be used when you don't have to leave the house to get a workout in (especially when a coach keeps you accountable). Consistently working out really does help change the way you think. I dance (not well). I lift weights. I use my body weight for exercises. I run. I circuit train. And I am now doing MMA style workouts. My body doesn't get use to doing the same old workout...and that keeps me sane as well. I eat clean (most of the time). I drink Shakeology (that includes protein as well as all many other vitamins & minerals from natural sources - perfect for after tough workouts). I eat veggies, fruit, carbs (including bread), fat (including cheese), protein (including meat), and I eat oils/nuts/dressings. But I also eat my other treats (cookies, ice cream, cake, wine etc.) according to my eating plan (and of course, sometimes a bit more than I should). ;) My mindset has also changed a lot in the last year. I'm more positive and accountable. I don't just let life pass me by. And I enjoy making new friendships (again)...something that I had struggled with in the past. I've become a 'doer' rather than just a 'talker'. I use to talk about all these things I wanted to do but never do them (mostly because I never wanted to fail at anything...so if I don't do anything I can't fail, right?). I've learned that failing is part of growing and learning and some of the best things come out of failures. This is me. I don't diet. I love to workout (never use to be that way). I am a coach. And I love to help others in any way I can in life. This is who I am. I do this for ME not for anyone or anything else. This is how I choose to live life and YOU get to choose how YOU live life too.
